The 5 kittens pictured to the left live with me now. We found them while traveling on a family vacation. Their mother was just barely surviving off handouts. The kittens were accustomed to human contact but their mother was not. Their life expectancy could be predicted to be a few years at best. We had often discussed the creation of an adoption program for hard luck kittens at the hospital. At that moment I knew it was time to start. We took the entire litter home with us expecting to keep 1 or 2 (we already had 1 cat home at the time). In the end, they were too precious together to ever think of separating them. Now we have 6 cats. Dr. Bob Stein
